Funds raised through the year provide sectional coaches who work with each instrument group, travel to competitions and festivals, upkeep of the instrument inventory, and guest artists and conductors who rehearse and perform with the students.

Major fundraisers include the Newbury Park Jazz Festival, the Panther Band Golf Tournament, and special concert events — all organized by the Panther Band Parents.

What Each Officer Does

Hands-On Help

Volunteer With the Band

The band relies on volunteers in every capacity — overnight trip chaperones, uniforms, towing the trailer, building props, and more. To keep students safe, the Conejo Valley Unified School District requires all volunteers who work with students to be registered and cleared.

The district defines four levels of volunteer involvement based on how much student contact your role involves, each with its own clearance checklist — all outlined in the District Volunteer Requirement Guide.
